We work closely with our clients to define the operational requirement, design the system, produce the equipment specification and review installation solutions offered by others.

Once the solution has been chosen we provide a wide range of services for projects. These include:

	Supervision of installation company site work and commissioning
	Training and instruction manual services, as required for each project

We can recommend a choice of suitable installers for projects as well as supplying specialist equipment and software if required e.g. for an IP Network Solution some clients may prefer to use their own IT Support to install equipment and software with project design and management from ConsulTec.
Why use a Consultant? If you want to purchase a new system or extend an existing one, you can do this in one of two ways. You can either approach a selection of installers yourself for their recommendations and quotations or you can use the services of a consultant. Compare these two approaches:

IP Network Systems – the way forward
These systems have now come of age and provide many new useful features while operating on standard Ethernet Networks.

“Intelligent” IP (Internet Protocol) devices that connect to standard networks are used and are controlled via application programs running on standard computers. The most common application is for CCTV Systems where control and surveillance of a site can be carried out individually or by numerous network PC users in various locations. Therefore control is not restricted to a central location on-site and this includes remote users who wish to view live images or recordings off-site.

Network System applications include:

	IP enabled versions of devices such as Cameras, Door Controllers, Intercoms, Intruder Detectors, etc, that are connected to a local or wide area Ethernet Network. The devices are controlled by a software application running on local or remote (normally via broadband) PCs.
	Digital Megapixel cameras provide higher resolution pictures than analogue cameras and they use progressive scan which captures moving objects without the analogue 2 to 1 interlace blur.
	IP cameras can have their own built-in processor which can run Video Analytics. A number of image analysis applications are available, for example vehicle number plate recognition, customer movement behaviour and virtual “trip wires” can provide an indication of people entering but not leaving a site.
